Location: BENIPORT
Also Known As: PORT KORRA
Type: City / Town
Dominion: Independent
Population: 89,600
Pronunciation: (BEN-ih-port) / (CORE-uh)

Beniport was previously known as Port Korra. About twelve years before the game, a man named Benivalle gained power among young upper-class factions in the city. The ruling family at the time, the Korra family, maintained an isolationist attitude towards trade with other cities. Restless economic ambitions among these factions were led by Benivalle, and the family was forcefully driven from power while it was told to the rest of the city that the family feared insurrection and fled of their own accord.

Meanwhile, Benivalle's promise of revolutionary trade fell short, and taxes in the port, now called Beniport, rose until many of the upper class people were almost forced to leave.

OLDER DESCRIPTION:

Nestled at the southern end of the Titan Continent, just east of the mouth of the Titan River, a small community sits overlooking a secluded harbor. At the beginning of game-play, this town is known as Beniport, and is under the purview of a man named Benivalle.

Over a decade ago, the community was known as Port Korra. At that point, it was a completely independent township. Fishing and farming kept its citizens busy, and it was generally a quiet place. Gaining its new identity as "Beniport," however, has brought with it new ties with the industrial resources of Serribis. The two cities now share extensive trade agreements, and a busy shipping route has developed between them.
