Character: CADE
Age: 17
Race: Human
Occupation: Construction Worker
Height: 5' 7"
Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Sky Blue
Weapon: Armblade(s)

Cade is a member of the Korra family, the family once in charge of affairs for Port Korra. When powerful factions within the town supported a change in leadership, the family was secretly disposed of and their disappearance was never explained. After his parents were killed, the young Cade was sent to work at Pylos Delta.

Cade derives motivation for his actions from honor, which played an important part in his father's way of life. Cade's father held honor above everything else, and taught Cade this code as well. However, because he was so young when he was separated from his family, Cade is confused as to what honor actually is. He believes it to be making himself look better than everyone else, so he strives to win at everything. He cannot accept losing anything, whether it be in an argument, fight, or game. He considers it a breach of his honor.

Throughout the story, Cade's "honor" appears to be the deciding factor in his decisions, and often makes the other party members annoyed when he can't accept loss. As the story progresses, Cade learns that there are times when someone losing is a better option, and, more notably, that honor should not be the most important thing to a person (This realization first comes to him when Beniport is retaken).

OLD DESCRIPTION:

Cade was sentenced to work at Pylos Delta by Benivalle several years prior to the start of the game. His family previously ruled over the city of Port Korra, and was overthrown in a rebellion lead by Benivalle, who wanted to break from the traditional lifestyle of the quiet town. He guaranteed new fruitful trade agreements with Serribis. (We find out than Benivalle only half lived up to his promises, and did many things which made the people want their old government back.)

In Cade's family, honor was of extreme importance. Cade is similar to the Worf-type honor-above-all-else sort of person. He wants to defeat Benivalle and regain his family honor. However, Cade doesn't have the honor thing completely figured out. Cade derives his motivation for doing anything from the desire to make others think highly of him. He calls this "honor". This means that he will go to great lengths to win any sort of argument; he will battle people who give him random insults; he will help others only when it makes himself look better.

Cade learns over the course of the game that sometimes you just need to let it go. There are more important things to be done that to quibble with everyone who says something mean to you. Personal honor is irrelevant to the greater good of society.
