Ok, I'm at work and there's nothing to do so I figured I'd take a shot at the pylos flyer.

I'm assuming it's powered by TW's. So with that in mind here goes.

A. The flyer could have 4 tube-like legs each equiped with a wind blasting TW for lift. Also the "legs" would be hinged so that they could aim in 360 degrees. Once it gets in the air, it could turn the hind "legs" towards the back for acceleration.

B. Or possibly, there could be a large tw on the bottom of a car or helicopter-ish body. This TW could be a gravity nullifying spell. It could use props for acceleration, or the Wind blasting TW as in the previous example.

C. Or it could just be a crude wooden helicopter, with TW driven prop control.

I imagine the overall shape would be slightly boxed-shape. (no wind tunnel testing here) We have glass here right? If not we could have small slits around the edges for limited visibility, but low wind in the cockpit. If we do then a sort of square model t windshield is in order. Closed in on the top of course.

A rope ladder for access, and possibly wooden legs with disc shaped metal feet. (if option b or c). Mostly wood for all the body and things, with metal plating in some areas.

Ok I've yammered on enough, please! all feedback is more then welcome.

I've been inactive for too long. This topic has been idle for too long. Bout time somebody pulled thier creative finger out and put it to some use.

This is v1 of my Pylos flyer design I condored up from the above description. I shall give a short synopsis, however far from the objective it may seem:

+ Insect shapped. Don't know why. Felt like a good design at the time.
+ Oval thing. Cargo bay opening, motor opening for the wind thang. A hole for anything really. Details, details.
+ Bridge. Fighter jet style. This thing moves fast, don't it? Probably not that fast...but you catch my drift.
+ Legs. They get slightly wider towards the ends. Look better and help support more weight.

Bleh. 1am GMT and I just felt like diving into FoI again to try giving some topics a few kicks in the pervervial arse. Hope this gets a ball rolling somewhere.
