I am not in the Final Fantasy XI beta. I certainly did not agree to any sort of "user agreement" which prohibits me from telling people that I am in the beta, because I am not. Furthermore, this "user agreement" -- which I remind you, does not exist -- also does not prohibit me from telling people that it exists. That is to say, if I were in the Final Fantasy XI beta, I would not be allowed to tell you so, but it's irrelevant because I'm not. Really.

However, if anyone else is, like me, not in the beta, and would like an additional party member, please e-mail me. Thanks.

You confuse me. See, I have a friend who hasn't been in the beta for a few months. So isn't it a little late to not be in the beta?

However I can, if you want, ask him if he's still not in the beta and if he wouldn't like another party member.

Squaresoft told its beta testers that they can't say they're playing the beta, and to be a beta tester, you have to sign this user agreement saying you won't say it.

so basically, Temp IS NOT A BETA TESTER. HE CAN'T SAY HE IS IF HE WAS ANYWAY. HE IS NOT A BETA TESTER. that should clear things up.

see..i want to NOT be in the beta either.

grr...I was hoping that you weren't actually saying you're...*ahem*...not in the beta. I was hoping you were saying you were...were not...in the...beta...*cough*...uhm...tell us what it "isn't" like? Is it "not" worth playing? Is it "not" FF quality? Like you'd know, though, not being a beta tester.

Well, you see, there's saying you're not in the beta, and then there's saying you're not in the beta. Giving info about the beta (which I remind you, Temp's not in) is probably pushing it a bit far, neh?

I do believe that the whole intent of the user agreement (which doesn't exist) is to prevent beta testers from going around posting reviews and whatnot. It is a beta, after all, so it's not fair yet to judge the game on it. Regardless, I have not played it enough to make any judgement anyway (obviously, since I'm in the beta).
