this is a really cool piece. PLEASE comment on it! it's a MIDI, so even you dial-up users can easily comment.

as far as changes go...it's a done deal. i don't think i need to add anything.

...spooky... You know the music in FF7 when you're on the trail before you fight Rufus, and most people get really freaked by it? I was scared to the point of clutching the controller much too tight. It's really a similar feeling to that. Absolutely bloody amazing.

One small criticism (if you can call it that) is that near the end the change is too sudden, I feel. I don't know though, this'd fit a particular action in the game I expect, it's just not so good to just listen to. Go you.

I think my sound card sucks for MIDI. :( Every MIDI I play sounds absolutely terrible -- even ones I knew were great back when I had an SBLive. I guess the nForce is excellent in every way except MIDI rendering. It actually seems to play the notes off-tune... bleh.

So, that's why I rarely comment on MIDI's. Sorry.

nice. atmospheric, dark sets a good mood. A few things. The lead oboe like instrument is too loud for the mix. It needs to be separated a bit, add some reverb. Pan the harmony sections left and right to add some distance as well. The change is a bit sudden. Try building up to it then dropping it out. Good atmospheric peice. I like it. Give it some more length, create a bridge out of the drop near the end maybe? Then dive back into the atmospheric strings with maybe some counter melody layering using a higher pitched string section. Just one off the cuff idea.

I like it. Very moody, really good over all.

The only thing I have against it is through the second half where everything changes after the pause. The arpegio, or half of an arpegio needs to be soften, or have a couple different one's rotating. It's too repetative in there to be so much in the forground of everything else that is happening in that part. My suggestion would be to make it pianicimo becuase it does sound very well set up the way that it is.
