Hmm. I think calling someone an idiot in any way would not be funny, and it would make them feel at least bad, at most quite hostile to you (neither of which is a very desirable thing).

If you have to ask why duct tape would be awesome ... oi. It's really very hard to put into words, but it would be rather funny and unexpected. And I believe the correct question is: what wouldn't it do? I mean, it's duct tape!
Of course, duct tape doesn't exist in FoI's world, unfortunately, but you still get points for the suggestion Seraph. ;)

What does duct tape do? Man, what does duct tape NOT do!? That stuff is great! My wallet is 100% duct tape, sure it kinda screws up your debit and credit cards, but it is worth it :) I mean, how many people here watch the red green show? (Canadian). Tis very funny.
