I thought it was Morovingian, (like the medieval French dynasty, I know I probably slaughtered the spelling but oh well) hence making his accent all the funnier to me.
Apparently I should read credits more carefully, or get my ears checked. Ah well.

You're probably right, I dunno ^_^;;
One of my mates spelt it like that in his msn name so I presumed it was right :p

Well since we both don't know, I proclaim us BOTH right and now shall stubbornly refuse to check it because it's happier that way.
By the way, when is the third movie being released, and has anyone played the game yet?

Third movie comes out in something like six months.

Third movie is supposed to be out in November, not sure if its the same everywhere though.
And I haven't played the game but heard good things about it.

It's out november. I still need to see this one...grr...dumb r-rated bull crap...grumble...

You could always get a DivX of it if you're really unscrupulous.
Revolutions is out in November, yes.
I'm "The mate" that spelt it Neurovingian. I'm probably wrong. I'll have to watch it again and check during the credits. You can have the medal, by the way, all my ones age weighting me down...
Right, where to start... something like this would be fitting:
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Easily one of the best films I've ever seen. The music was awesome - I bought the soundtrack it was that good, and I've only bought two records in the last 5 years or so.
The acting... was ok, even if Reeves can be replaced with a plank of wood with a mean face on it.
The fight scenes were amazingly intricate, the music the perfect offset to them... I can't even describe it. Just go and see it. Multiple times.
Hmm... was there anything else? Oh yes. I have a transcript of the scene with The Architecht if anyone wants it - yes, you too can finally understand exactly what he's going on about rather than just getting the general feeling. Send me an email or something.
EDIT: Silly link tag.

I did love the fight scene's and how it kind of opened up the prophecy a little bit but the ending was crap. I was ready to march out of that theatre and go down to WB Studios and threaten to burn it to the ground if they didn't show me Revolution's. The way that Neo saved Trinity looked lame and in my oppinion they should have let her die or just not have put her in that situation. I thought that it looked cool at the time but when I thought back on it, that was one of the worst scene's in the movie coming in somewhere behind the pointless speach/rave/sex scene that was a waste of 20 minutes and wasn't any good to boot. I don't really care for the style of music that they used in this one or the first one for that matter but I think that it's fitting.
Again as far as the end goes, I think they should have done something like with the first one and give some sort of sense of completion and resolve even though everyone know's that it won't be complete until the next one.
I'm not going to judge this one until I see the third one becuase all that happened here was a small bit of developement over a long period of time. The most important thing that happened was the meeting with the oracle, fight with Ex-agent Smith and the meeting with the architect, everything was sub par character developement and I say sub par becuase it's the same instance of thing's that happened in the first one. So I'll just set my oppinion aside for now and wait till opening night of Revolution's before I decide to make up my mind.

That's kind of the point, they are in it to make money, after all.
I think they should have done something like with the first one and give some sort of sense of completion and resolve
After all the interviews, articles and such saying "Reloaded and Revolutions are really two halves of the same movie" people still say this... it's such a shame.
...everyone know's that it won't be complete until the next one.
Personally, I thought The Matrix worked very well as a stand-alone film. Any expansion of the story would be just that - expansion - and that's why Reloaded and Revolutions are one expansion of that.
the pointless speach/rave/sex scene that was a waste of 20 minutes and wasn't any good to boot
"Pointless rave/sex scene" would have been better. Maybe even "Mostly pointless sex scene" because even the rave - even the sex, although it wasn't hugely important, and thus had a total screentime of about 30 seconds, if that - had some meaning... but the speech was a huge part of what we learn about Morpheus during the film, (not to mention seeing his first proper weakness:
When he doesn't want to believe that the Prophecy isn't true.
which was only revealed at the end)
The most important thing that happened was the meeting with the oracle, fight with Ex-agent Smith and the meeting with the architect
And the whole... storyline thing... and the Twins, who you know are going to be back... and Seraph, who anyone that's watched the Revolutions trailer after the credits knows is back in it, and so on.
My only problem with the next one, I think, will be that they're using a new actor for the Oracle. The one from the original and Reloaded died...

She DIED? What? I thought they filmed the movies together, so she must have died a while ago then.
2003/06/10 15:39:51 PDT by mystik3eb [0/43] |
Uhm, yea, squall, are you overreacting a little? The whole point of the movie ending like that was to get people excited and anxious to see the next one. They had planned it to be that way since before they released the first one.
Guys, everything involving the whole matrix world (the movies, video game, everything) was done BEFORE the first movie was even filmed. Which means that they aren't "just doing anything for the money", they did it for suspence, and it also means that the third one will have the same oracle, since the last two films were filmed at the same time, kinda like LotR.
Though I must say, any sex scene in any movie is totally pointless. If the sex scene is key to the movie, then the movie isn't worth watching.
So yea, there's some more of my shpleel.

I heard what mystik heard. Both movies were filmed at the same time, thats how they're being released in the same year. So the oracle did get to finish her parts before she died.
When reloaded ended, there was so much to think about, I don't mind waiting till november. Like the ending, BA-nAH-NAH! So many possibilities

Thanks a whole lot, I still haven't seen the movie and you all have basically just now summed it up for me. :(
