I was thinking the enemy should be able to level up as the game progresses and have very good AI. Like having the enemy learn and improve upon itself.

Do you hate Temporal or summin?!
That would take...inexplicable (sp?) amounts of coding, years of planning and more years of testing. Ouch.

Meh. The trouble with this idea is that it doesn't make a lot of sense in context. What enemy is levelling up? Most of them you only see once.

Aren't most of our opponents specific creatures/characters? Leaving that small portion of "some" regularly-seen enemies. I personally don't think we need to let any of these baddies have to get stronger, but there's nothing wrong with having the different baddies be stronger than previously seen baddies the farther you get in the game. But really, as has been said many times, this game isn't very battle-oriented, and I'm not sure this will really be an issue.
