well rapiers were used by nobles...

I'm wondering where the scimitar thing came from... I don't remember putting that in any of Brooke's info. We pretty much settled that she'd use a light sword such as a rapier when in humanoid form. Hmm ... mystik? You know anything about this? ;D
Anyway, her profile's been changed. Good catch, Siemova.

In short:
She is a magic user. Proteans can shift to different living forms, but only if they come into contact with the for an extended amount of time. The first thing we see Brooke transform into is a skunk.

Read part 2 davy :-P Proteans can transform themselves OR someone they touched into someone/something they're familiar with.
So in part 2, Brooke has a pet skunk (also it's not official that it's a skunk yet) and to save Ko, she turns him into one.
Throughout the game, Brooke will be able to transform herself into enemies that she encountered a lot (think that weird old sorceress person in Chrono Cross).

Right, I forgot about that.

I hate it when people say I'm wrong, then they repeat what I said but rearrange it...jus so they can look good and/or get credit.
That's EXACTLY what I said, Baha!

Actually, you said Brooke Turns into a skunk. Myeh.
2002/12/14 14:12:41 PST by Dev [manager] |
Er... the first animal Brooke learns is the skunk, and whether we first see her morph into it, or she first uses it on Ko makes little difference. The former would probably be better, so the player knows more about what happened when they suddenly find themselves playing a skunk.

absent minded typo, you know what I ment, moron
Edit by Fang: You know I don't appreciate that kind of thing. Do I ever insult you? Well, do I ever call you names?
Edit by Temporal: Knock it off, guys.

Geez Davy. What's with the insult-ness going on since you've registered on PM v.4? Not sure if I appreciate it, and I'm not the one being called names! Please consider manners and kindness...
Yea...sorry about the rapier thing...I totally forgot which weapon it was...scimitar (like rapier) was one of the names of swords that I couldn't visually label with the right type of sword, so I just put it down...thanks for fixing my goof, Dev.
I think it should be the latter, Dev. Put SOME humor in the game (humor coming from the player wondering why-the-crap they're playing a skunk =) ).
But I really don't care. Maybe we could implement some lost memories of her while she walks around Protea, like of her childhood and stuff, and one little memory involves turning into a skunk as her first transformation...you guys like that idea? I'm thinking kinda like when Locke goes back to his hometown and has the flashbacks of Rachel and shtuff.

Haha, Davy, you said your new year resolution was t stop swearing.
I don't really like the idea of a skunk... People don't like playing as antipathetic characters (I couldn't find a better word).
Maybe some race that doesn't exist here... like oglops :-P.... Hmmmm... bad example, oglops don't seem like nice "animals" either.
Anyways... Back on topic.... Brooke should use something elegant-ish. Except staves are overused.
A magic wand! hahaha.
