I assume you're asking about Aequus, Davy. This profile hasn't been put up because, unlike most of the ones that have been posted, it doesn't come out of a revised plot outline.
In short, Aequus is the dragon that inhabits the Titan Plains: the one that Syne is rescued from by Dell in Chapter One. He was the one that took Kydran and Dell over to the Titan Continent in the first place, after the Battle of Tarikun. He then became Dell's caretaker until the party gains use of his flying/travel services in Part IV.

I think dragons deserve background info. Like where dragons come from and what are they there for.

The basic concept is that, in the world of Fate of Io, evolution has taken two paths that led to intelligent beings. There are the humanoids and the "dragonoids", I guess you could say. Mammals and reptiles. As I recall, Aequus is dragonoid, but larger and of lesser intelligence than the Antareans. Maybe his species is to Antareans what gorillas are to humans...
When Kydran was exiled (or chose to leave his kind out of his own embarassment, whichever), he rode Aequus over the sea, and took Dell along. I don't think it's been specified exactly how he came in contact with Aequus or tamed him or whatever, but I don't really think it should. That's more detail than we need.
I'm sure Dev will "correct" anything I said here which differs from his thoughts. ;)

Well, might I suggest that, to differ from your explanation Temp, Dragons are more of an advancment of the Antareans. Smarter, wiser, stronger, etc., but FAR fewer (I mean FAR fewer...like in the 10's [if that many]) and WAY too big and fumbling to create a society, buildings, etc.
Also, I would think that Proteans would basically be like the Enlightened Ones in Chrono Trigger compared to regular humans (the Earthbound Ones). See what I'm saying? Is that agreeable?
I think the connection with Kydran and Aequus should be kept a mystery. Some things are better left that way (of course, that's in my opinion).

drifting... this should be in the Races thread. I think the questions have been answered. erm... *stops pretending he's a moderator*
EDIT: Yeah you better! Who's got the moderating priv's, huh? Huh! ;)
Anyway, this is a good place for this specific conversation since we're talking about a specific character. And what does drifting mean?

EDIT by the guy who has his name on the post:
pffff, makeyour own posts :-P.
To drift: acording to dictionary.com
Maybe it's not the best word but... you get my point.
Back on topic.... do Aequus and the Tarikun dragon know each other? Maybe they're like Rush and try to limit the damage of the war... Forgot his group's name. I should re-read the script.
