The "battery" thing was just an analogy. All the battery is is a chunk of eumonite, which happens to be shaped such that it can be inserted into the device. Yes, Rheya could recharge it using her own energy.

I'd think they could recharge the batteries by themselves, seeing as they do it all the time with their own eumonite.

I've been assuming that the "battery" that Rheya's ED uses IS the party's own eumonite. It would be kind of confusing to have two sources; one for our three eumonetics and one for just Rheya's weapon.

ADML supposedly stood for "Antarean Dynamic Magic Language," sort of as a spoof of HTML or any other markup language. I'm under the assumption we won't call it that in-game, but to be consistent, it should probably now be "ADEL" right? Eumonetic Language, not "magic."

I like ADML better still, have at least some connection to magic. I think I'm pretty stuck on calling spells techniques now.

Using the party's own eumonite would defeat the purpose of putting EDs on the market, cuz eumonite is not a common thing to own at all...so I think Pylos should give out batteries with the weapons, and the party should be able to recharge it as well as their own eumonite. That doesn't mean they have two sources, they're just using one source for several things.

I would just like to stick in a quick opinion,
I think that it would be cool if the rings or devices or whatever were made with a certain kind of energy before you bought them, and it would take a "spell" to activate it...
Example: Lets say that Rheya has a staff imbued with the fire-type energy. At the beginning of the battle she takes the time to cast a fire-type spell appropriate to the level or some type of "level" of the staff. for the rest of that battle she can cast that technique with the staff a certain amount of times depending on the size of the technique and the "level" of the staff.

This would make the staff more of a tool to extend her techniques rather than a flat out weapon, unless she ran ount of abilities, she could probably use the staff as just a simple weapon. however you really would'nt be able to use rings in this manner(unless she going to be punching of course).

As far as the "level" thing with weapons, you could have a system where there would be staffs and such that can cast more techniques, or "better" techniques, or both. Depending on price, where you are in the game, and in certain towns, etc...

Well, that's sort of how it works, except that the actual spell that the staff (or whatever) casts is built in to the staff, so Rheya herself need not cast anything to make it work. The mechanics of eumotech are already pretty well defined and entrenched into Fate of Io's story, so this really can't be changed.
