how do i setup my avatar? and where can i upload my avatar to?

You can upload your avatar directly to our server. Just edit your profile. For the "avatar" field, click "browse" and choose your avatar image from your hard drive. Then click "submit" at the bottom of the page to upload it.

I have not been able to set up my avatar since before this site was reworked. I don't know why, really, and would appreciate some advice as to the reason for my constant failure.

GAH! Why is it there and not in my profile?! Nevermind.... the shock at my own stupidity has rendered me speechless and I will go hide in a corner now and not speak again.

Your avatar looks great. It not showing up in your View / Edit Profile screens is a usability flaw in the software.
When I die, can my ghost haunt this forum? Maybe I'll be able to make it spontaneously develop new features.

Look, ummm, I'll come clean. I don't know how to do my avatar. Do I just make a 64x64 image and then upload it, or what?

Ok, In the avatar field, I browsed for my 64x64 pic, opened, and submitted. I still don't have my avatar....

Well, Baron, I don't know what the problem could be. Your avatar was not saved on the server. What format was it? Only gif, jpeg, and png are allowed. (Did I remember to mention that somewhere?)
