I used to contribute to FoI back in the FF9HQ days, and I got an assignment for a calendar for my graphic design class. This would feature 12 pieces of art, and other stylings, and I was wondering if I could make it about FoI..of course, if I did that I would want input of people still strong in the project, and overall permission from those in the project. If it is okay, I would want to use 12 pieces of art from FoI and turn it into a calendar, and I would need permission of the 12 pieces of art. I don't have forever to do this, and it is okay if I'm not allowed to.

Heya neoKupo! It's been a while.

I'm no legal expert, so someone stop me if I'm wrong, but as you'd be using material for a class (i.e. educational purposes) and that falls under "fair use", even if someone objected to it there's nothing legally we could do to stop you. That said, FoI's artists have, historically, been somewhat lax, as far as I can remember. Not that any of them come around any more, heh.

So, in short, I don't see why not. I'd even be interested in seeing how it turns out. ;)

Hey, I think it is an excellent idea to make it of FoI, and I too would be very interested to see its resulting look.

thanks for the support. the calendar is due on monday, so i'll be sure to give you the finished product, probably in pdf format.

Excuse me for being late on posting this, but haven't had a lot of [excuses don't matter].

http://shimmeringisland.tripod.com/calendar.pdf this is what the assignment required, so it isn't anything fancy, but I like it. I tried to use the same type of image all the way around, and they had to be of a certain quality (the syne pic doesn't fit, but i used it anyway) also, the pdf seemed to have exported weird :\ but it's all good

That's some spiffy work, Neo! I especially like how you used the parchment background ... that came from one of the worldmap illustrations, didn't it? Oh, and by the way, just so members of the project know, the drawing you used for December is not property of the project, nor was it drawn by a contributor. But for the purposes of grading your assignment, no one needs to know! ^_^;;

Hey I know this sounds like I'm being a pain in the ass but can you please double check the numbering of the dates and make sure the monthes match up with the numbers (you know what I mean) cuz I want to print this off and use it myself =D

EDIT: Also I've noticed the year as being 2005. Can you do a version for 03 pleeeeaaase??!
