This is sort of a combination of the two prelim Rush images up on the site, along with some tweaks based on the feedback I've seen. Appologies to those who think he should be stockier. I just get this Strago/Cyan vibe from him I can't shake.
Basically, what I'm trying to say with this image is, simpler is better.

Hmm... It's interesting... A few notes:
First of all, remember that Syne is Rush's son, so they should look similar. Your Rush's head and eyes in particular seem rather different from Syne's to me...
I also don't really like the hair style... but that may be just me. And, yeah, I do still think Rush should be a big, muscly guy...
As a minor quality nitpick, the back end of the axe looks a little deformed. Might want to work on that.
It's not bad, though. Congrats on your first submission; I hope to see more.
