this is a cool piece. for the most part, i like it, but just one criticism: lack of variation. not in the melody, because you got the melody pretty much changing a lot, which is good work. try to change the percussion a bit (maybe make it louder). add a timpani part. remember: battle music has to be intense, so make the bass and drum lines intense...i also think you're missing a foundational bass line. something like a fretless bass would do wonders.

I thing Nix said it all. Timapani would really accent this peice. I don't think it would need a fretless bass part if you made it so the bass would hit harder. Consider changing the key or the time signature near the end to make it speed up some or just sound more intense over all. But adding timpani could create this affect and same with turning the bass up.

Well.. I'll try.. Its just that I'm only using a free downloaded version of Finale Notepad, so all my 8 staves are used up, and forgive me for the unappropriateness... I have no formal music training whatsoever anyway.
