Wow! It was pretty quiet in here for a loooong while, and then suddenly when I decide to publish my piece, everyone else has had the same idea. Mindreading... spooky...

Anyways, I believe I started composing "My Heart is Left Behind" when thinking about the Finnish Winter War and those who had to leave their homes from the way of the war. The whole piece therefore contains the same mood of leaving something beloved behind and walking towards something new, something uncertain. Or that's my opinion. You guys may have your own ones, and probably have.
