This one uses a motif I've had laying around for a while and sticks it into a longer arrangment of some kinda weird choral... doomy... thing. I originally intended it for the battle at Antares, but it's way too mellow for that, I realized. This would probably fit very well, however, in Chapter 12, while the party is spelunking towards Pylos Epsilon.

Excellent, alot like that To The Summit submission, very good song. The choral instrument sounds great for simple midi...man, if only I could make something that sounded this good.

I could see this being a track from Chrono Cross. Which rates somewhat above something I could see being a track in Final Fantasy. Definitely perfect for an underwater scene. Could also work for a forest scene, or any sort of mysterious, low-action area in general...

I like it. You could try replacing the clarinet thingy with a solo violin with bends and vibrato. (unless that's what it is and my midi sucks that much!) Those drums are pretty heavy. I like that it gives it a feeling of moving towards something ominous. You could use this motif later as a climactic movement in some story element rather than a battle. This gives me the idea of exploring some dark, lost place that may or may not contain scary stuff. The beat gives it a sense of travelling. Exploring the caverns under Protea for example. I like this better for an land based scene though. It doesn't strike me as an underwater theme for some reason.

Aetrus... you should really download the mp3 versions of these songs, particularly if your synth sucks.

If I had a faster connection I would. I don't have as much time online as I used to. I've been working like a dog at a local battery plant in the lab. Making a mint, but working hard all the same.

Uhm, I can't seem to download either the Mp3 or the Mid :/

Your internet connection is doing something silly which is causing it to use different IP addresses for accessing fateofio.org and files.fateofio.org. If you are using a proxy, external cache, or "web accellerator", you may need to disable it. If you are on an office network, it may be forcing you to use a proxy; try again from home.
