v4 beta is up!

Welcome to v4! With the beta version of v4 running, it has now become the Fate of Io project's official web site. The old forums will be shut down shortly.

You will still be able to read the old forums by going to the same link as before:

http://www.fateofio.org/forums

However, posting will no longer be allowed. You can also still access v3.2 of the Fate of Io web site at:

http://www.fateofio.org/v32

Needless to say, v3.2 will not be updated anymore (not that it really was anyway).

With v4 beta, you will have to register your username yet again. Everything from v4 alpha has been erased (you were warned!), and your old forum username cannot be transfered (sorry).

Unlike v4 alpha, activity on v4 beta will NOT be erased. So, go at it! Let's get this project moving again!

Oh, just a warning to everybody: The content is not complete yet. Yeah, that's probably obvious when you look at the stuff. Dev and I are working on getting it all uploaded and sorted out, but we have to do other stuff like sleep and eat, too. So, it may take a few days before everything is filled out. Speaking of which, I think I need to sleep soonish here. ::has been up 21 hours again::

Anyway, yes. What he said. Besides the plethora of material we need to upload, I'll be turning 20 this weekend, so my families have scheduled lots of time for me to be not helping out here and not doing homework. Families are great, aren't they? :P

As always, be patient. Steadily and surely, we're coming back.

This is so awesome, you have no idea how much of a treat this is for me. I've been so busy and tired the past couple weeks, and so NOT able to go online and do stuff like FoI that I needed something as nice as this to cheer me up. And MAN did you guys do it! I love the look, I'm excited about how our active membership percentage will be MUCH higher, and we'll be able to really start to focus on more important topics and really get things done.

To think...in the whole year of the last forum we only finalized...two or three character looks and a few story outlines? I believe we can achieve much more here. I'm so happy that I can finally come to really get going on FoI, and I can't wait to really get started. My kudos to Dev and Temp!

BTW...where's everybody else? ;)

People have even started coming back to the project again!! :D

Now then..there's only a few bugs and suggestions/improvements away from the next development step!

Thanks, mystik, though the kudos really ought to go where it's due.

I did some of the minor graphics for the site, but Temp's the one who took on the gargantuan task of making things work. If you haven't noticed, there's a lot of cool stuff in v4 that had to be made to work. Also, Kass was the one responsible for taking Temp's machine and making it look pretty and conform to web standards. Finally, it was Akio who presented this light-blue/grey graphic vision to us in the first place, from which Kass drew her plan of attack. He's been gone for quite a while, and I imagine when he gets back, he'll be in for a bit of a shock. I never got a chance to tell him we'd be using that design of his! ;D
