[05:40:35] Temporal: Woops. Logs fixed...

[05:55:23] Temporal went away: See calendar for logs.

[06:01:42] mystik3eb joined.

[06:02:47] Temporal: hello?

[06:03:12] mystik3eb left.

[06:03:20] mystik3eb joined.

[06:03:26] mystik3eb: checking the logs

[06:03:47] mystik3eb: ...maybe the logs could be opened in another, smaller window?

[06:03:54] mystik3eb: *shrug*

[06:04:11] Temporal: hold shift when you click the links if you want them opened in a new window

[06:04:28] mystik3eb: well i mean i know i can open it in another window/tab

[06:04:34] mystik3eb: but does everyone?

[06:04:41] mystik3eb: i dunno...

[06:04:44] mystik3eb: just a thought

[06:05:42] Temporal: well, I don't want to force opening in a new window because that's often not what you want...

[06:05:54] Temporal: like, if you're browsing through the logs

[06:06:01] Temporal: you click on the previous day

[06:06:06] Temporal: you don't want a new window to pop up

[06:06:50] mystik3eb: Well, I was thinking something like clicking on a day will open a new, small window that contains only the log, nothing else, no side panels or anything

[06:06:53] Temporal: so, as far as I'm concerned, it's the user's responsibility to hold shift or whatever to open in a new window

[06:07:19] Temporal: ok, how would you open a previous month, then?

[06:08:00] mystik3eb: just close the window (maybe have a "close window" option)

[06:08:19] mystik3eb: it would almost be like a popup (unless firefox or something would block it too easily)

[06:08:21] Temporal: no, but what would happen when you click on the "february" link

[06:09:43] mystik3eb: I guess it would get tedious to have another small window open for just that month and have each day open another window again

[06:09:58] mystik3eb: unless you could have a log browser, almost

[06:10:20] Temporal: that would be annoying to me, as a user...

[06:10:56] mystik3eb: i dunno, it wouldnt bother me if a little window opened up with its own calender and links to each log day with a link back to the calender

[06:11:03] mystik3eb: and this window wouldnt be able to link to anywhere else

[06:11:09] mystik3eb: no address bar or anything

[06:11:17] mystik3eb: but...that's probably a pop-up, right?

[06:11:44] Temporal: it would be allowed by most pop-up blockers

[06:11:51] Temporal: because you're actually clicking something

[06:13:57] mystik3eb: Does the idea seem worth it?

[06:14:17] Temporal: as I said, I would personally find such an interface really annoying...

[06:14:26] Temporal: sorry

[06:16:20] Temporal: and it would take quite a bit of work anyway, since it would break the whole framework that the rest of the site follows

[06:16:36] mystik3eb: thats what i was worried about

[06:18:32] Temporal: gtg

[07:06:28] mystik3eb: ....weird

[07:08:08] mystik3eb: lemme try that again

[07:32:46] Temporal: hello

[07:32:58] Captain Vimes: Hello there.

[07:33:08] Captain Vimes: Looks like Winter finally came.

[07:33:45] Temporal: how much snow?

[07:34:12] Captain Vimes: About seven inches.

[07:34:22] Temporal: meh

[07:34:36] Temporal: need about a foot to close school here. :P

[07:34:58] Captain Vimes: o_O

[07:34:59] Captain Vimes: Wait, where do you live?

[07:35:06] Temporal: Minneapolis, MN

[07:35:15] Temporal: where are you?

[07:35:58] Captain Vimes: Pennsylvania.

[07:36:38] Captain Vimes: Intresting. My birthplace was in Minnesota.

[07:38:58] Temporal: where?

[07:39:29] Captain Vimes: I can't say for certain, though I'm fairly sure that it was Minneapolis.

[07:40:10] Captain Vimes: Huh. It was Minneapolis.

[08:24:16] Captain Vimes left.

[08:45:08] Temporal: test

[15:04:54] Temporal: sup?

[15:05:21] Captain Vimes: Nothing much.

[15:05:48] Captain Vimes: Spent the day fooling with vector coloring.

[15:05:55] Captain Vimes: Well, part of the day anyway.

[15:06:13] Temporal: like, as in vector graphics?

[15:06:21] Captain Vimes: Yessir.

[15:06:27] Temporal: vector graphics are funny

[15:06:28] Captain Vimes: I have taken quite a liking to them.

[15:06:42] Temporal: vector graphics existed long before raster graphics

[15:06:56] Temporal: then people invented raster graphics

[15:07:07] Temporal: and everyone was like "Oooh! Raster graphics are awesome!"

[15:07:15] Temporal: and now, decades later...

[15:07:23] Temporal: we're moving *back* to vector graphics

[15:07:30] Captain Vimes: And along came cel shading, which replicates the vector look

[15:07:32] Temporal: because raster graphics suck now
