[11:24:00] burn returned.

[11:24:02] burn: neat

[11:24:03] Temporal beeped burn.

[11:24:29] burn beeped.

[11:24:41] burn beeped temporal.

[11:25:04] burn: nice to see that you have controls for beep

[11:25:05] burn: s

[11:25:13] Temporal: yep

[11:25:17] burn: is that to get peoples atention?

[11:25:21] Temporal: yeah

[11:25:25] burn left.

[11:25:57] burn joined.

[11:26:02] burn: that is cool

[11:26:11] Temporal: I implemented the beep thing for myself, really

[11:26:25] Temporal: because I like to work on other things during meetings when I'm not needed

[11:26:28] burn: only problem is i just logged offwhan i click on the calander

[11:26:37] Temporal: and like to idle in chat a lot

[11:26:55] Temporal: yeah, I leave it up to the user to shift+click on links

[11:26:55] burn: yeah me too

[11:27:17] burn: cool

[11:27:24] burn: ok let me keep looking around

[11:27:50] Temporal: try editing your profile

[11:28:29] burn: i am trying

[11:30:13] Temporal: (to make your colors update in chat you'll have to re-join)

[11:31:03] burn: k

[11:31:09] burn left.

[11:31:10] burn joined.

[11:31:15] burn: rar!

[11:31:26] burn: orange!!!

[11:31:30] burn: so cool

[11:31:36] burn: that color picker was awsome

[11:31:40] Temporal: thanks

[11:32:25] burn: kenton this is very impressive

[11:32:34] burn: ok what else can I do?

[11:32:48] burn: what is the activity tracker?

[11:32:59] Temporal: shows where people have posted and such

[11:33:18] Temporal: when someone posts somewhere it gets bumped to the top of the list

[11:33:41] Temporal: it only shows really recent stuff right now because I only implemented it a few days ago.

[11:33:53] burn: yeah thats cool

[11:34:04] burn: are you going ot make it much like the chat log?

[11:34:44] Temporal: everything you see now is pretty much how I intend to leave it

[11:35:05] burn: thats cool

[11:35:23] Temporal: I consider this done. All I'm working on now is exporting/importing the database and pulling in more of the old data from the v4 site.

[11:35:28] burn: keeping it real with html 4.01?

[11:35:59] Temporal: yeah... since IE doesn't support application/html+xml or whatever

[11:36:07] Temporal: application/xml+html?

[11:36:31] Temporal: anyway, yeah... pages served as text/html, so they're HTML 4.01

[11:36:42] Temporal: they all validate, except for this chat page because I use <applet>

[11:36:52] burn: yeah that is normal

[11:37:12] burn: can you post pics in the forum ie through forum tags?

[11:37:17] burn:

[11:37:20] burn: etc

[11:37:22] Temporal: yep

[11:37:42] Temporal: everything listed here is supported: http://fateofio.org/project/v4pm/howto/

[11:37:56] Temporal: (that info was written for v4, but it's still valid for v5)

[11:38:21] Temporal: oh... doesn't work quite like that.

[11:38:42] Temporal: you can use form, or you can just wrap an url in [] to make it link

[11:39:51] burn: you can only appened?

[11:40:02] burn: you cant edit?

[11:40:19] Temporal: Admins can edit, but standard users can only append, yeah.

[11:40:44] Temporal: in v4 there were a couple times people went and editing their posts to change their meaning after people had replied

[11:40:47] Temporal: it was really annoying

[11:40:56] Temporal: edited*

[11:41:26] burn: oppps

[11:42:42] Temporal: if you go to the media section and look at the files, you'll notice they are heavily protected against bandwidth thievery

[11:43:22] burn: what if i make a mistake and i want to change it or i want to self edit myself?

[11:43:36] Temporal: For instance, if I were a bastard bandwidth thief, I might post a link like this[/link] somewhere... and if you click on that it won't work.

[11:43:45] Temporal: ... guh. Parse error.

[11:44:21] Temporal: you just have to make sure to proof-read before you post...

[11:44:24] burn: it worked for me

[11:44:39] burn: maybe you could add a spell checker or something

[11:44:42] Temporal: ... you clicked that link and it worked?

[11:45:03] burn: when you remove a post does it say it has been removed or simply the post dissappears

[11:45:06] burn: yes

[11:45:17] burn: File Access Denied Access to this file was denied because your access token was invalid. This is most likely because you tried to access the file using a link posted on a web site which did not have permission to link to this file. If in doubt, try refreshing the page which linked you here and clicking the link again. (The access token is based on your IP address. Thus, if your IP address changes frequently, you may have trouble downloading files.)

[11:45:23] Temporal: oh

[11:45:40] Temporal: so by "it worked" you meant it worked in that it didn't work

[11:45:50] burn: um i have been right clicking and opening everything in new window in fear that i will log out of chat

[11:46:04] Temporal: I just shift-click...

[11:46:30] burn: well i could use my middle mouse button but old habits die hard

[11:46:43] Temporal: anyway, if you actually go to the media section and choose "Astravaii's Enna", you can see the picture

[11:47:04] burn: but it works in the sense that it denys me access... i am of course assuming that was what it was suppost to do

[11:47:10] Temporal: yep

[11:48:09] burn: neat

[11:48:14] burn: you know what i like
