The server will probably be down temporarily next Monday, the 27th of October, or possibly the day after that. I am moving the server from its current location at a friend's house over to a new location in my basement. Sadly, this means that the server's uptime -- currently at 210 days -- will be returned to zero.

UPDATE: The move is complete.

This Saturday--October 4, 2003--will be our first time to try out the new meeting time. Temp and I have settled on 4:00 pm Pacific/6 Central "Forum" time/7 Eastern/12 am (midnight) UK, in the usual "Fate of Io" AIMer chat.

It has become apparent that our current Friday meeting time doesn't work well for many people. We decided yesterday that we should try to hold future meetings on Saturdays, but we could not decide exactly what time. We want to find a time which works well both for people in the US/Canada and the UK, so ideally it will be no later than 6 central time (midnight UK). Everyone, please post below to indicate what times work for you, and what time zone you are in. Thanks.

It says: "Hey! Look out! The story section is on the move!"

Also, don't forget that tomorrow, Friday, September 19th at 3 pm Pacific, 6 pm Eastern, and 11 pm UK we'll be holding another weekly meeting in same ol' Fate of Io AIMer chat. Hope peoples can make it.

There will be a Fate of Io development meeting this Saturday, September 13, at 6:00 PM US Central time (forum time). The meeting will take place on AIM in the "Fate of Io" chat room, as usual. Read on for the meeting agenda.

Fate of Io has nothing to do with Brian Clevinger, 8-Bit Theater, or "Project: Video Game". I may have caused some confusion there. Read on for what happened.

If you are logged in as a member of the Fate of Io project, please respond here.
(New members too, of course. It'll only take a second; I promise!)

If you've been somehow unaware, we're getting some work done in the story department, and seeing some nice development elsewhere. Here's a short list of what you may have missed if you're just coming back ... or if you're just confused.

It's been quiet around here lately. I suspect this is because we are close to the end of the academic year, and everyone is busy with finals and such. I know this is the case for myself (I have a huge artificial intelligence project and a huge computer vision project to do!), and I think Dev is having the same problem. I just want to reassure eveyone that this is only temporary. This should take off again in mid-May at the latest.

Welcome to the new www.fateofio.org server! You probably wouldn't even notice the difference if I hadn't told you; all the data is still here and your user account has not changed. Read on for info about the server, as well as some things you need to watch for...
